Aaron Estrada
Founder
Aaron was raised in the Lake Tahoe area and was a professional skier competing in Big Mountain competitions. He was the only man to win the U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championships in Crested Butte, Colorado three times. After surviving a life-altering skiing accident, he became addicted to substances.
The pivotal moment for Estrada came in March 2011. When facing three to five years in prison, a judge offered him a deal of alternate sentencing. While in treatment, he addressed the root of his problems; unresolved traumas. Aaron started working in the substance abuse field shortly after leaving treatment and has worked in many different areas of the field, including Support Staff, Case Manager, and Program Director. This is where his dream evolved. He started to grow a passion of starting his own facility where care could be tailored to each individual, address problems with substances but also heal the mind, body, and spirit while incorporating outdoor activities. That is when Restoration Recovery Center was started.
Since overcoming addiction and finding sobriety, Aaron has found his passion in life in working in the field of substance addiction. Aaron has been working in the field of addiction treatment for over 7 years. Prior to joining the Restoration Recovery Center team, Aaron held management positions at multiple long-term residential facilities in Southern California.
As a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Certified Anger Management Specialist, Aaron brings a wealth of personal recovery experience to his clinical leadership and is an avid athlete. By using his personal experience and clinical training, his goal is to help each client begin the process of reaching their full potential through spiritual progress and learning to live life sober one day at a time. In addition to assisting clients with their healing, Aaron provides direction and support to the clinical staff, ensuring that the client’s needs are met.
